It’s like the traditional macaroni cheese but with a Greek flavour 😊
2 cups fusilli pasta
1 red onion (chopped)
2 garlic cloves (crushed
½ cup flour
2 cups milk
½ cup Gouda (grated)
½ tsp fresh thyme
2 tomatoes (chopped)
10 pitted olives
1 handful baby spinach leaves
1 feta round (crumbled)
Preheat oven to 180C.
In a pot of boiling water, boil pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Cook bacon in a pan and break bits apart. Add chopped onions.
In a pan, melt butter and spoon in flour and mix together. Pour in milk slowly, stirring while you do so.
Add cheese to white sauce and stir in. season with fresh oregano.
Add chopped tomatoes, olives and spinach. Add cooked bacon and onion. Mix together.
Transfer pasta to an ovenproof dish. Pour over sauce and mix in. Crumble feta cheese over the top.
Bake for 20 minutes or until golden. Serve with a green salad.
